Five friends opened a new 100% all-women-owned hair salon in May this year in Melcksloot Village, close to Somerset Mall. They combined their creativity and resources to establish their lifelong dream. A lot of hard work went in by all of them to realize this vision. They launched their up market salon in the new lifestyle center, conveniently situated just of the R44, about 1,8km from the Somerset Mall, behind Dehli Diner and opposite Bathroom Bisarre. With such an expedient locality, clients can easily still pop in for a visit to the Mall before or after their hair appointment, and the best is, they have ample free parking. As a regular client says: ”When last did you find a parking spot directly in front of the salon?”

Hair @ last is a modern 100 square meter venue with private in-store restrooms for client use. It is fully air-conditioned with high ceilings to keep clients comfortably cool in summer and cozy and warm in winter. Their new state of the art wash basins, privately situated in the rear of the salon, with adjustable heights can suit all individual needs to ensure a relaxing experience at the back bar prior to enjoying some of their refreshments while having your hair treated. They believe in quality and offer a selection of freshly brewed filter coffee or a variety of teas to suit all tastes. A home-baked biscuit nicely wraps up the offer.

The hair stylists at hair @ last are extremely professional with an impressive resume between the three of them. Marie-Anne won the Paul Mitchel Creative Team Event last year, was a nationwide finalist in the Redken Cover Award and appeared on Top Billing as well as in numerous fashion and Hair dressing magazines. She was also a two-time regional finalist in the L’Oreal Colour trophy, as well as the Wella Trend Vision. Her inserts featured in the Cosmopolitan Hair section and she also trained other hairdressers in cutting and colour. She was also on the creative team of the previous salon where she worked.

Leoné has 18 years of experience in the hair industry and is a well-known specialist with an extensive existing clientele in the Helderberg basin. Thirteen of these 18 years, she was a stylist with a salon in the Somerset Mall and the majority of her clients are thrilled that they can now still visit her so close to the Mall, but with easy parking right in front of the salon. Leoné sees herself as an all rounder with a passion for colour and cutting and enjoys makeovers. She has a zeal for making her clients feel instantly better about themselves.

Deirdre, the latest addition to the team of stylists, specializes in Bio ionic and relaxing hair. She enjoys colouring hair and delivers impeccable service when it comes to cut and blows. Hair relaxing and straightening excite her and her passion shows through to her clients who loves visiting her repeatedly.

Tanya is the voice you will most likely hear first when you are new to hair @ last as she is responsible for all the bookings and the ordering of stock. Her experience in salon management is crucial to their professional image and ensures a smooth running of the salon.

Carin takes care of the finances and admin while Lorette is the operations assistant, who will provide you with a relaxing Keva head massage free of charge as part of each wash.

The salon is a L’Oreal Professional exclusive salon that only stock their well known and high quality products, also their latest trends and products to make available the most recent technology and research to our valued clients as soon as it hit the retail shelves in South Africa. The team at hair @ last believes in treating their customers like royalty and integrity, but with the economic constraints in mind, therefore their prices are a lot less than what they use to charge in the Mall, as they have to now establish their new business from scratch.
